Life in the Fog

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive;
and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

Happy Sunday!

Sundays are usually reserved for families, whether attending church services, birthday picnics, or dinners at the formal dining room, but sometimes it's just as nice to just stay in with a really great book or nest with the little ones.  Here's some inspiring photos I found on Pinterest that makes staying in so irresistible!

Happy Sunday!

Jump for Joie!

Every time I visit Piperlime's website, the only brand that stands out and has me coveting their floral prints with a Southern California sensibility is Joie.  When I first spotted the Edelfina dress, I went directly to ShopStyle to set up a sale alert and now a few short months later it's on sale!  It's the perfect dress to wear on vacation getaways, weekend shopping trips downtown when it's warm out, or in my case Sundays spent at family parties or picnics.  And I have to say that if you're petite, this is a great dress in that it doesn't hang loose on your frame.  And if a small still doesn't work for you, Joie carries XXS sizes.

Finally took Coco out for a family baptism.

Nice to know it's Spring in other parts of the Bay Area

Laduree Green

I remember a few years back when Tiffany blue was all the rage.  I saw the iconic color used in just about every life event from weddings to baby showers.  Now Laduree green has taken its place but works just as seamlessly in homes.  I'm leaning more on the Laduree green being a pistachio color rather than mint, but either way it's such a pretty, serene color that I wouldn't mind coming home to.  The only hint of mint I have at my house are Fire-King plates my mother found at a garage sale and later gave to me.  I still treasure them and love its green opaque, vintage look.

Love the Viking ranges, particlarly in mint julep; if only I could afford it.
 And I love the KitchenAid mixer in Pistachio Green.

Plenty of Fire-King plates to be found on Ebay or better yet your grandmother's cupboard
