Life in the Fog

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive;
and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

Linen Outlet

I used to live off of 11th and Clement, which is where the store is located and ironically I never shopped here until I moved away to West Portal.  This place is AMAZING.  Their pillows are under $15 and I found some really great duvet covers and high thread count sheets that rival Nordstrom Rack (I returned the Royal Egyptian cotton sheets in Tiffany blue I bought here 2 weeks earlier).  They carry labels sold at  Bed Bath & Beyond such as Nicole Miller, and also Z Gallerie bed sheets.

The best part is they carry hip, modern, beautifully designed rugs if traditional Persian rugs aren't your thing.

All the pillows were purchased at Linen Outlet, with the left and middle being recent purchases.
Each pillow was under $15

Mount Davidson

I took one of my closest friends, Janice to Mount Davidson last weekend and like most Bay Area residents (let alone SF locals)- she had never heard of it.  It's a great alternative to Twin Peaks - it's a fairly easy walk up given that the ground isn't moist or muddy and on a clear day you get spectacular views of downtown.  And the best part is that it's never crowded- you could easily plop right down on the grass and relax, meditate, or have a picnic if you wanted to.  The bonus is if you climb up the steps to the top of the peak, you'll see a gigantic concrete cross about three to four stories high dedicated to Armenians who suffered during WWI genocide.
