Life in the Fog

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive;
and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

Longchamp Heritage bag

To be honest, I've never been interested in the Longchamp brand...until I saw their ad campaign featuring Ms. Chung carrying a sturdy but elegantly structured handbag which piqued my interest. It's the perfect everyday bag for carrying your life around and its skin reminds me of the Prada Saffiano Lux bags that can defy San Francisco mist and raindrops.

Jewel eye candy

I haven't visited Tiffany's website in a while and I stumbled upon these gorgeous gems.  I'm leaning more towards the rose quartz.

Luxury candles

The holidays are on its way, yay!  And it's the only time of year when I get a little candle crazy.  I've already got the Violette candle by Diptyque.  I've been wanting the Baies for quite a while, but my husband thinks spending $60 on a candle is outrageous, and yes he's right.

There's other candle brands I've been eyeing like Jo Malone's Blackberry and Bay candle and Voluspa's Visions of Sugar Plum.  The packaging alone is enough to entice me; I admit I'm a sucker for packaging.

Style: Mimi Thorisson

I first learned of Mimi Thorisson through an article in Vogue and I cannot wait for her new cookbook, A Kitchen in France:  A Year of Cooking in my Farmhouse, to come out in a couple weeks.  She has an amazing blog Manger, not to mention an enviable style, and a lovely family.

Mise en Dior tribal earrings

I am loving these Mise en Dior earrings but truth be told, I can't afford them.  So I searched for tribal inspired earrings and happily found a few on Etsy - gotta love Etsy, it saves the day.

Lucy Choi London

I'm obsessed with Lucy Choi shoes - they're so elegant and feminine, and would be great for special occasions.  The best part is they're not out-of-this-world, crazy expensive.  Most of her shoes are under $300:
